Matthews's journey from Canada to Hollywood
Matthews, also the CEO of Brookstreet Pictures, grew up in Canada before moving to the US to pursue acting and production.
He often visits his family in Wales and hopes Wales's growing reputation in the film industry will make it a desirable filming location for future Brookstreet Pictures projects.
The company is named after a street in Abercarn where his father played as a child before emigrating to Canada.

For those unaware, The Brutalist explores themes of ambition, identity, and the "American dream" through the life of Hungarian architect Laszlo Toth (played by Adrien Brody).
Toth, a Holocaust survivor, immigrates to post-war America.
The three-hour-and-35-minute film (with a 15-minute intermission) is directed by Brady Corbert.
Apart from Best Picture, its Oscar nominations cover categories such as Best Director and Best Actor for Brody.
