June 2019 comes with a promise of some interesting content on Netflix. New shows like Mr. Iglesias will release. Famous shows make a return and a whole lot of movies are on the cards as well. The platform also brings some amazing offerings for the fans of the superhero genre and anime. Here's all you need to know about Netflix's June releases.
Possibly the last Netflix Original featuring a Marvel character
Marvel has discontinued most of its Netflix series including Daredevil and Luke Cage. Jessica Jones, however, will return with its third and final season in June. Details about its story aren't known yet. Black Mirror also returns with a new season featuring stars like Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, Andrew Scott, Topher Grace and more. Its season 5 will have three new stories.
Other well-received series slated to make a return
Black Mirror fans can consider watching Season 3 of the Brazilian sci-fi show 3%. Designated Survivor also returns with the third season and the acclaimed German thriller Dark is releasing its second season in June. Grey's Anatomy returns with a fifteenth season, Madam Secretary returns with Season 5, The Missing releases Season 3, and Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will release Season 5.
There are some promising new series on the cards
Based on the book by Prayaag Akbar, Leila is an Indian series you can consider watching. Sitcom fans can watch Mr. Iglesias and the ones suffering from a GoT hangover can consider Arthdal Chronicles. Other June releases include Trinkets, Malibu Rescue: The Series, Pachamama (animated series), Jinn, The Alcàsser Murders, Awake: The Million Dollar Game, The Chosen One, and Tales of the City.
Great news for anime and Batman fans
Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight will release on Netflix in June. As far as anime series go, the month brings 7 Seeds, a new series set in a post-apocalyptic world; Kakegurui xx, a series about gambling, Aggretsuko, an offbeat series; and Forest of Piano. Fans should watch out for the absolutely brilliant A Silent Voice and the tearjerker Anohana.

The Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a June release one should definitely watch.
