Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi's 'Thandel' to cost more in Andhra Pradesh
What's the story
The makers of the upcoming film Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, have got the Andhra Pradesh government's nod to hike ticket prices for the first week of release.
Single-screen theaters can hike their prices by ₹50 per ticket, while multiplexes can increase theirs by ₹75.
The production house Geetha Arts and Chaitanya thanked the state government for the decision on social media.
Film synopsis
'Thandel' is based on a true story
Thandel, which is releasing on Friday, is based on the true story of 20 Indian fishermen from Andhra Pradesh who were captured by Pakistani authorities and imprisoned for 22 years.
The story was unveiled by Allu Aravind at an event. He narrated how these fishermen from a small village near Vizag went to Gujarat for fishing but accidentally crossed international borders due to weather issues and were arrested.

Apart from its intriguing storyline, Thandel also features an impressive cast and crew.
The music of the film is composed by National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad, while Shamdat handles the cinematography.
National Award-winning Naveen Nooli is the editor and Srinagendra Tangala heads the art department.
The film is produced by Bunny Vasu under the banner of Geetha Arts, presented by Aravind.
