The streaming giant announced the film's upcoming availability on their platform with a statement saying, "When fate drags them across borders, only courage can bring them home. Thandel, coming to Netflix after its theatrical release!"

'Thandel' plot and cast details revealed
Thandel is inspired by the true story of a Srikakulam-based fisherman who accidentally drifts into Pakistani waters and is imprisoned in Karachi for over a year.
Chaitanya's character brings to light the harsh realities of Indian fishermen during their confinement.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film also stars Prakash Belawadi as a Pakistani jailer, and Divya Pillai, Rao Ramesh, Karunakaran, and Babloo Prithiveeraj in pivotal roles.

Thandel is a result of the collaborative efforts of director Mondeti, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Karthik Theeda.
The film was produced by Bunny Vasu under the banner of Geetha Arts, with Allu Aravind as the presenter. Shamdat Sainudeen was in charge of cinematography while Naveen Nooli edited the film.
The music for Thandel was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
