Continuing its remarkable run even after 47 days post-release, the Malayalam film Manjummel Boys is still holding its sway over audiences. Adding to its success, the Telugu-dubbed version was released last Saturday to an overwhelming response. Already celebrated as the highest-grossing Malayalam title ever, it has now made waves in the Telugu market by smashing records for opening day ticket sales of a dubbed Malayalam film, doubling earnings on Day 2.

'Manjummel Boys' will get more screenings in the Telugu market
On its first day in the Telugu-speaking market, Manjummel Boys set a new record with ticket sales reaching 34.47K on BookMyShow alone. This achievement was announced by Mythri Movie Makers, who handled the film's distribution in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In response to this overwhelming reception, more screenings have been arranged throughout both states, leading to a significant increase in revenue on the second day of release.
'Manjummel Boys' earned around ₹2cr on Sunday
The release of the Telugu adaptation significantly boosted daily box office earnings for Manjummel Boys. On its premiere day alone, earnings soared by 489.29%, resulting in a net collection of ₹1.65cr in India. This was followed by an impressive ₹1.8cr on Sunday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's total domestic nett collection has reached ₹130.53cr, while globally it has amassed ₹226cr, cementing its status as an all-time blockbuster.
All records shattered by 'Manjummel Boys'
Breaking numerous records, the film soared to unprecedented heights in the Malayalam film industry, crossing the ₹200 crore mark and setting new box-office standards. It not only became the highest-grossing Malayalam film till date but also clinched the title of the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, thus far. Meanwhile, recent reports are rife that the director is set to collaborate with Chiyaan Vikram on his next project.
