Girl makes trailer on parents' divorce, wins Internet
They say great art comes from a place of pain. The phrase sure stands true for Victoria Valle Remond, a movie buff and film major from San Francisco (US), who compiled a dramatic trailer about her parents' divorce, when she was just 10 years old. Victoria recently released the clip, made using iMovie, and it is a hit on the Internet!
Victoria posted the trailer on Twitter last week
Victoria, who goes by the username @filmtrashed, posted the trailer on Twitter last week, writing, "When I was 10 I made an iMovie trailer for my parents divorce and I just found it. (sic)" The post went incessantly viral and has so far garnered over 568,000 likes and 93,000 retweets on the micro-blogging website. The 1.5-minute-long clip has attracted countless reactions from Twitter users.
The trailer features a montage of real and stock images
The trailer, made using mobile editing software iMobile and titled, "A Shattered Relationship" features a montage of pictures from Victoria's parents' married life, supported by some stock images. That's not it. The teaser has been completed with some glowing reviews from (obviously made-up) organizations like "National Bureau of Divorce" and" Broken Family Film Festival", dramatic background score, and end-credits. Damn, that creativity!

The viral clip garnered a tremendous response from netizens
The insanely viral teaser received a tremendous response from fellow netizens. While many got emotional at the sensitive subject of separation, others cheekily added that it's high time for likes of Noah Baumbach, who made acclaimed divorce-oriented drama Marriage Story, to start worrying. On a lighter note, many others found fun in the organization names displayed in the clip.
