Sushant Singh Rajput started the New Year on a good note as he released the refreshing trailer of Sonchiriya. He will be seen as a dacoit in the movie. And before we could get over his rustic dacoit look, he surprised us with his next project Rifleman wherein he plays the role of a soldier. Take a look!

Sushant took to social media to share the teaser of Rifleman. The teaser featured cross border firing and blasts, which has left us wanting for more. Rifleman is a story of a soldier who protects the border against an advancing enemy. "On the occasion of Army Day, excited to announce my next film," Sushant wrote yesterday.

Sushant to undergo intense training with Army men

Interestingly, this will be the first time Sushant is donning the uniform. It is reported that the actor would be undergoing hard-core training for this role. In fact, Sushant also shared a throwback video where he was seen training with the soldiers.

'Sonchiriya': A story of rebellion and survival

Currently, Sushant is busy promoting Sonchiriya which is based on the dacoits of Chambal and is set against the backdrop of the 1975 Emergency. Helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, Sonchiriya also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Ranvir Shorey, Manoj Bajpayee and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. From a dacoit to a soldier, Sushant is certainly planning to impress everyone with his versatility this year.
