Taylor wins Tour of the Century at iHeartRadio—but skips event
What's the story
Though she was missing from the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday night, Taylor Swift did receive the Tour of the Century honor.
The award was presented to mark her record-breaking Eras Tour, which, incidentally, celebrated its second anniversary on the same day.
In her acceptance video, Swift thanked her fans and treated them to a special Mirrorball performance, recorded during her first Eras Tour stop in Glendale, Arizona.
Tribute
Swift's absence did not dim the night
Comedian Nikki Glaser, who introduced the award, paid tribute to Swift's tour, saying, "Thank God I saw it that many times because never in my childless, dog-lady life will I ever witness a live performance of that magnitude."
Swift was nominated for 10 awards across nine categories and bagged a few early wins, including Best Tour Tradition and Best Lyrics for Fortnight.
She also won Favorite Tour Style and Best Music Video.
Surprise win
Swift and Travis Kelce won Favorite Surprise Guest
In a sweet surprise, Swift and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, bagged Favorite Surprise Guest. The couple made headlines when Kelce carried Swift on stage during her third London show.
The Eras Tour grossed an unbelievable $2 billion in ticket sales and featured 149 shows in 22 countries.
According to reports, to thank her crew's hard work, Swift had given them bonuses amounting to $197 million.
