Tanushree Dutta thanks Mumbai Police for protecting her from MNS
By exposing the rampant power abuse in Bollywood, Tanushree Dutta has got on the wrong side of many, obviously. When she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment, she caused a stir across the nation. As Tanushree has received a big thumbs up (and some criticism too), she has expressed her gratitude towards Mumbai Police for supporting her in this big fight.
Raj Thackeray's MNS threatened Tanushree
In her recent interview, Tanushree revealed that, post her revelation about the decade old incident, she was threatened by Raj Thackeray's MNS party with violent attacks. "Raj Thackeray's MNS party in an interview given to a leading daily has threatened me with a violent attack. This on top of other threats issued to me from Nana's side," Tanushree said.
Mumbai Police provided 24 hours protection
In wake of the ongoing controversy and the threats Tanushree received, Mumbai Police came forward and assured complete protection. Tanushree is thankful to the cops for this gesture and so are we. "They have promised me 24 hours police protection and have posted their armed personnel around my home. I would like to thank them for helping me strengthen my resolve," she added.
Meanwhile, Tanushree denies receiving legal notice from Nana
Further, Tanushree has contradicted the claims made by Nana Patekar's lawyer about sending a legal notice to her. It was reported that Nana has demanded an apology in the legal notice. Rubbishing the claims, Tanushree told News18, "I have not received any notice. These threats are put so that others like me would be scared to come forward."
