Meet Anukreethy Vas, winner of Femina Miss India 2018
The winner of 55th Femina Miss India World 2018 is Anukreethy Vas, a student from Tamil Nadu. Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar crowned the 19-year-old who beat 30 contestants to bag the prestigious title. Meenakshi Chaudhary from Haryana was the first runner-up while Andhra Pradesh's Shreya Rao Kamavarapu secured the second runner-up position.
Anukreethy dedicates her win to her single mother
"I've seen my mother struggle throughout her life to give wings to my dreams. She was being blamed for all my mistakes, so I want everyone to praise her for my win. My mother will surely be proud of me and my achievements," Anukreethy said.
She aspires to be a supermodel
Talking about her life-goals, Anukreethy said modeling has always been on her mind and that she is working hard towards it. "My aspiration to become a supermodel is true and I am looking forward to it," she said. Anukreethy went to RSK Higher Secondary School and is an alumnus of Loyola college. She is also pursuing BA in French to become a translator.
"I see myself as Miss World 2018"
Anukreethy now has her eyes on the Miss World 2018 title and is confident of winning it too. "I see myself as Miss World 2018 and a well-established actress! I started modeling because I wanted a platform to share my ideas on the dais and spread a word about it," she said. Anukreethy was mentored by actor Rakul Preet Singh.
