Valentine's Day, the day of love, turned fatal for Tamil actress Yashika who, reportedly, committed suicide at her Chennai residence. According to media reports, Yashika was found hanging in the house by the police. The reports also suggest that the lady took the extreme step over a failed relationship. She also demanded strict punishment for her partner in her last message to her mother.
Yashika made her big screen debut with 'Mannar Vagaiyara'
Yashika was a small screen actress who hailed from Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu. The actress had shifted to Chennai with a dream to make it big in showbiz. She was seen in several television serials. However, Yashika made her big debut with Mannar Vagaiyara last year. Reportedly, she was in a relationship with Aravind alias Mohan Babu who worked with a cellphone service centre.
Yashika-Arvind were in a live-in relationship for four months
The reports further suggested that after dating each other for a while, Yashika and Arvind moved in together. They took a rented house in GKM Colony Peravallur and were residing there for four months now. However, their relationship turned sour after a nasty argument three days ago, following which Arvind called it quits. Miffed with the breakup, Yashika, reportedly, committed suicide.
Yashika dropped hints of her suicide in her last message
Although no suicide letter was recovered from the crime spot, it was reported that Yashika had sent a WhatsApp message to her mother just before committing suicide. In her message, she mentioned about ending her life after being abandoned by Arvind. "For having ditched me without marrying and for having tortured me, you must get him punished severely after I commit suicide," Yashika wrote.
Police is searching for Arvind
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against Arvind on the basis of Yashika's message. They have started looking for Arvind who is expected to reveal the real reason behind her suicide. Further, they have also sent Yashika's body for post-mortem.
