Tamannaah Bhatia sues companies for using ads post-expiry of contracts
Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has reportedly filed a lawsuit against two jewelry companies for continuing to use her advertisements after their contract expired. The Madras High Court, led by Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy, has imposed an interim ban on these ads, according to a report by News18. The 34-year-old actor had previously modeled for the companies, but the contract's end marked the end of her endorsement.
Companies' lawyer claimed they stopped using Bhatia's ads
During the trial, the companies' lawyers claimed that they had ceased using the ads featuring Bhatia. He further stated that the companies cannot be held accountable for the use of old ads on social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook. However, when the appeal case against the company was heard, no advocates appeared for the opposing petitioners. The case has been adjourned until September 12.
