'Ranveer On Tour': Swiss train named after Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh, who is the brand ambassador of Swiss Tourism, has brought hordes of Indian tourists to the country in the last one year. Therefore, to honor his contribution, the Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Travel System have named a train after him. Called 'Ranveer On Tour', it was inaugurated by the 'Padmaavat' star himself on Monday.
The train will run across the Golden Pass Line
Branded with pictures of the actor, the train will offer a ride from Montreux, through the UNESCO world heritage vineyards of Lavaux and the Jura mountains to the Bernese Alps. Martin Nydegger, CEO, Switzerland Tourism, said, "On the back of the campaign with Ranveer, the number of Indian tourists increased by a massive 23.4 per cent in 2017."
Ranveer is on cloud nine after the honor
"Looking through the huge panoramic windows of the train is a feast for the eyes. I still remember being completely mesmerized on my first train ride last summer and hope all our esteemed travelers enjoy this incredible ride as much as I did," he said.
