Swara gets Vivek's Twitter account locked after his problematic tweet
Swara Bhasker is one of the few actresses in the industry who speaks her mind on social media. There were times when Swara got trolled for expressing her views, but she has time and again proved that she knows the right way to handle them. And that's what she did with filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri after he posted a misogynist tweet.
How did it all start: Swara condemned PC George's statement
Swara recently expressed her disapproval on Kerala MLA PC George's derogatory statement against a nun who was allegedly raped by a bishop. "Absolutely shameful and disgusting!!!! Scum present across political spectrums and religious divides in India. Literally nauseating," she tweeted. Her tweet initiated a war of words with Vivek Agnihotri, who asked why there were no placards (referring to her actions after Kathua rape).
Swara lashes out at PC George, and rightly so!
Then, Vivek's misogynist tweet left Swara fuming
Post her tweet, director Vivek Agnihotri made a derogatory remark in reference to the 'MeToo' movement against sexual harassment and asked Swara, "Where is the placard - #MeTooProstituteNun?" Vivek's tweet instigated a controversy and landed him in serious trouble. Swara, who was quite upset with Vivek's unhinged tweet, reported his account to Twitter.

Twitter locked Vivek's account, asked him to delete derogatory tweet
After Swara reported Vivek's account, Twitter India looked into the matter and locked his account. Twitter also forced him to delete his controversial and derogatory tweet as it violated the rules of the micro-blogging site. They acknowledged Swara's tweet and wrote, "We have reviewed the account you reported and have locked it because we found it to be in violation of the Twitter rules".

Swara-Vivek had a war of words over 'Padmaavat'
Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Swara and Vivek got into a nasty argument. Earlier, the 'Raanjhanaa' actress was slammed by Vivek for her open letter about 'Padmaavat'. Swara had accused Bhansali for glorifying Jauhar and wrote, "I felt reduced to a vagina". To this Vivek replied, "It's because of the fake feminists like @ReallySwara that the feminist movement gets jeopardized."
