Swara Bhasker joins Rahul Gandhi in 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'
Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker joined politician Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Indian National Congress (INC) devised this yatra as part of their new campaign. Though not declared, this seems to be a part of the 2024 general elections campaign. Many celebrities have accompanied Gandhi on his journey, which started from Kanyakumari on September 7, 2022.
Why does this story matter?
Billed to be the longest political march organized by any party in India's history, Bharat Jodo Yatra is a novel political move by Congress, a party struggling to find its footing in recent years. Marred by controversy over many senior leaders quitting the party in the last few months, the grand old party's 3,570-km yatra is expected to give it a much-needed boost.
