'Wonderland' unveils new images of stars Suzy and Park Bo-gum
The highly anticipated Korean film Wonderland has released new images featuring its stars, Bae Suzy (simply Suzy) and Park Bo-gum. The movie's plot centers on individuals using a service named Wonderland, powered by artificial intelligence, to virtually reconnect with their deceased loved ones. The cast includes renowned actors such as Tang Wei, Jung Yu-mi, and Choi Woo-shik.
'Suzy was exactly what I imagined Jung-in to be'
In Wonderland, Suzy's character Jung-in uses the Wonderland service to digitally recreate her boyfriend Tae-joo, played by Park, after he becomes incapacitated due to an accident. The story progresses as Tae-joo regains consciousness. Both actors recently shared their experiences during filming. Suzy said, "From the script reading, we shared lots of conversations and concerns together, so I could participate in filming with joy." "[Suzy] was exactly what I imagined Jung-in to be when I first read the script," noted Park.
Film to hit the screens on this date
Suzy and Park first collaborated professionally as co-presenters at a prestigious awards ceremony, Baeksang Arts Awards, in 2018. Since then, they have worked together multiple times as hosts, including at this year's event. Their history of working together has heightened fans' anticipation for their on-screen chemistry in Wonderland, where they will be seen as a couple for the first time. The film is set to hit theaters on June 5.
