Sushant's cousin urges probe, alleges Thackeray link in case
What's the story
The death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020 has once again surfaced after his cousin Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu's recent call for a fresh probe.
Bablu, in an interview with Republic TV, alleged a link between Rajput's death and that of his manager Disha Salian—who died just days before him.
He claimed both cases were connected and demanded a reopening of the investigation.
Allegations
'Thackeray government tried to suppress the issue'
Further, Bablu alleged that the previous government tried to hide investigations into both cases.
He said, "Thackeray government tried to suppress the issue and stop the investigations. Disha's murder is linked with Sushant's murder. If a person falls from the 12th floor, there would be blood around the body but there was no blood. It means that she was silently murdered."
He said he hoped the new government would reopen the case.
Support
Bablu supports Salian's father's petition for investigation
Bablu's call for a fresh probe also matches Salian's father Satish Salian's move, who recently petitioned the Bombay High Court seeking an FIR against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray.
Satish has also dismissed suicide claims and alleged attempts to cover up the probe.
Bablu agreed, saying, "If Aditya Thackeray is involved and it comes to light then he should get the strictest punishment possible."
Revelations
Bablu reveals Rajput's concerns about high-profile involvement
Further, Bablu revealed that Rajput had confided in him that he felt threatened because of "big names" involved in Salian's case.
He also alleged that an IPS officer was taken hostage by the Mumbai Police when the Bihar Police were conducting an investigation.
Bablu expressed hope for a reopened investigation under the new government.
