'Kanguva' v/s 'Vettaiyan': Fans demand Suriya to advance film
The makers of Suriya's upcoming film Kanguva are reportedly in a quandary as they grapple with the decision to change the movie's release date. The release is currently scheduled for October 10, coinciding with the release of superstar Rajinikanth's new film Vettaiyan. Heavy speculation suggests that the team behind Kanguva is now considering rescheduling the movie. It's directed by Siva.
Fans cannot wait any longer for 'Kanguva'
Though the makers have not yet issued an official statement, fans have taken to X to demand that either the film be released on time or advanced to avoid the clash. A fan wrote, "Don't postpone prepone is best option for this massive hype," while another said, "Whole fandom is waiting for an update from you." Another tweeted, "Please do justice to Suriya's stardom and release on time."

In addition to Suriya, Kanguva also features Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, Natty Natarajan, KS Ravikumar, and Kovai Sarala in key roles. The film is set to be released in 3D and IMAX formats and stars Suriya in multiple roles. Vettaiyan, on the other hand, is helmed by T. J. Gnanavel and co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati.
