Wondering why Tamil superstar Suriya and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar are trending on Twitter since Thursday morning? Well, it is because the two met in Mumbai recently. On Thursday, Suriya shared a picture with Tendulkar on his Instagram handle. Within hours of the post, the picture went viral on social media with fans of the two stars going gaga over the image.
'G.O.A.T of cinema/cricket,' said fans
Suriya did not reveal details of how and when the two met. "Respect & Love!!," he wrote in the caption while tagging Tendulkar. Soon, fans started commenting on the post, dropping heart emojis. While one of the fans commented saying how the two shared "simplicity" as the common personality trait between them, another one wrote: "Goat of Cinema/Cricket."

According to reports, the National Award-winning actor has been making frequent trips to Mumbai, the Maximus City. The actor also owns a property in the city. Per reports, Suriya's wife-actor Jyotika and their children have shifted their base to Mumbai. It is reportedly because of this reason that the Soorarai Pottru actor is frequently seen traveling to the B-town.
Suriya to soon enter Bollywood
Speaking of his work front, the actor is gearing up to enter the Hindi film industry as a producer. His production house, 2D Entertainment will be backing the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru which will star Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan in the lead roles. Rumored to be titled Start-up, Suriya will also reportedly play a cameo in the movie.

Recently seen as Rolex in a cameo in Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil's Vikram, Suriya is presently busy working on his untitled next with Tamil filmmaker Siva. He also opted out of filmmaker Bala's movie Vanangaan which would have marked the third collaboration between the two. According to Bala, Suriya exited the project on a mutual agreement.
