Actor Olivia Nikkanen, known for her roles on TV shows such as Supergirl and Netflix's The Society, says she has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The 21-year-old shared an update on Tuesday via Instagram Live, where she said she is "feeling better now," reports The Hollywood Reporter. In the Instagram Live, which also featured Olivia's co-star on The Society, Kathryn Newton, the former said she still has chest tightness. "This is a scary thing. It's all-consuming," she admitted, adding that "I'm glad that I'm okay and that my mom is okay." In another video posted on March 20, the actor had revealed she was diagnosed with the virus the preceding night.

Further, Olivia documented her experience and symptoms throughout the month of March. She posted a screenshot of her notes on Instagram Story a week ago. The actor noted she experienced symptoms such as body aches, slight chills, high fever, stuffy nose, "major fatigue", "terrible body aches and chills", "lost her sense of smell and taste", before finally getting tested on March 16.
Rest, take fluids, monitor breathing: Olivia's suggestion to readers
In another picture posted on her Instagram Story, Oliva passed on the information that her doctor shared with her. The actor suggested readers to take Tylenol for fever and body aches, get plenty of rest, drink a lot of fluids, monitor one's breathing, and self-isolate.
