#TodayInWaitWhat: Sunny Leone refused a role in 'Game of Thrones'
'Game of Thrones' is the biggest television show on earth right now. Actors would gladly be a part of the show, which has made relatively unknown names like Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke global stars. However, Sunny Leone refused to go that way. When she was, reportedly, offered a role in 'Game of Thrones', she turned it down. Here's what happened.
A once in a lifetime opportunity
Notable stars like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have made their mark in Hollywood through 'Quantico' and the 'xXx' franchise, respectively. A role in HBO's 'Game of Thrones', inspired by George RR Martin's books, would have catapulted Bollywood star Sunny Leone's name onto the global stage. However, she said in an interview that she turned down the last minute offer to join the cast.
Play the great game to win
Sunny got a life-altering opportunity when she was contacted by someone, who messaged her saying that it was last minute but the decision had been made to have her on board as one of the cast members on 'Game of Thrones'. Although the offer was lucrative, Sunny's immediate reaction was to say 'Oh my God! No way!' Turns out it was a smart decision.
False alarms and false surprises
Sunny's turning down the potentially career-altering role might be seen as an ill-thought move, however, it seems it was a wise decision after all. The offer turned out to be bogus, and Sunny said that, "And then they sent the IMDb link to see who it was and then... It was fake!" Bollywood loves you Sunny, you don't need 'Game of Thrones'!
