Protesters threaten mass-suicide if Sunny Leone's New Year bash happens!
In a shocking turn of events, protests against the New Year bash of Sunny Leone continue. Members of pro-Kannada group, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Yuva Sene burnt posters of the actress, saying that her participation in the program is an insult to their culture. They have gathered in front of the Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru. Here are the details.
Here's what the protesters said
According to a report published in India today, the state-president said the actress has not had a very respectable past. "We are against Sunny wearing short clothes. If she wears saree and takes part in the event, even we'll go watch her. She doesn't have a good past. We shouldn't be encouraging such people. We will not hesitate to commit suicide on December 31."
The organizer has a different story to tell
The organizer of the event said that Sunny has been a part of many events in Karnataka. "This is a family-type programme with Sunny dancing on a Kannada song, and I, being a Kannadiga, have kept the programme's standard based on the Bengaluru culture itself," he clarified. However, the protesters seem to be pretty serious this time and won't budge under any circumstance.
