Google CEO, Sundar Pichai's heavy-hearted words for Sridevi

Much like any other fan, Google CEO Sundar Pichai is also shaken by Sridevi's sudden demise. He took to Twitter to share his grief over the loss of India's first female superstar. Sridevi had passed away on the night of 24 February in her hotel room in Dubai. The reason for her death was attributed to accidental drowning by the forensic experts.

Her performance in Sadma was one of my favorites and have special memories of watching Sridevi with my family. She was a pioneer and an inspiration to so many of us. So very sorry for your tragic loss and may she RIP

The last journey
Sridevi was cremated with state honors
Sridevi's mortal remains were flown to Mumbai three days after her demise. The last rites were performed by her husband, Boney Kapoor on 28 February. On her final journey, the actress was dressed in her favorite red-and-golden Kanjeevaram saree, draped in a tricolor, and placed in a glass casket.
