I have found a diamond, says Sumeet on marrying Ekta
'Veere Di Wedding' star Sumeet Vyas is all set to tie the knot with girlfriend Ekta Kaul on September 15. The couple, who is said to be dating for a while, has always remained mum about their relationship. However, for the first time, Sumeet bare it all about their love story and admitted that he has found a diamond in Ekta.
Ekta was a breath of fresh air for him
During his recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Sumeet revealed that with Ekta not being from the acting community, it was a breath of fresh air for him. But, the difference was not just about their backgrounds, the two are quite opposite to each other in almost everything. As they say, opposite attracts, and that's what happened in their case too.
Ekta was not bothered by Sumeet's fame
Sumeet revealed that Ekta was indifferent to his fame and fan following. In fact, the lady was unaffected by his fame even after watching his popular show 'Permanent Roommates'. "I was grabbing my hair by the roots thinking why it's not affecting her! But that's also how I knew she was with me for the right reasons," Sumeet added.
The moment when Sumeet felt Ekta is 'the one'
The renowned actor also spoke about the moment when he felt Ekta was 'the one for him' and decided to spend the rest of his life with her. "It's not one big moment when you know you've met 'the one'. It's how they make you feel everyday; if they make you a better person. And she does," Sumeet said. Well, that's true for sure.
Sumeet popped the question but with a wrong ring
Sumeet popped the question to Ekta on his birthday. But there was an interesting twist in this proposal. "I slipped a ring on her finger before she could change her mind! I am glad she loved it and has accepted my proposal. Unfortunately, I got the size of the ring wrong, which can be expected from a guy like me," Sumeet told Bombay Times.
Sumeet-Ekta's wedding to be a private affair
The much-in-love couple is quite excited about their D-Day. It is going to be a traditional ceremony in Ekta's native place, Jammu and will be attended by family and close friends. Sumeet told Indian Express, "As I am busy with my shoots, Ekta is managing most of the work. It is going to be a simple wedding. We are really happy about it."
