'Stree 2' prepares for OTT debut, but there's a twist
The horror-comedy film Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik and featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has been a massive success at the box office in 2024. Despite competing with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, the film grossed ₹787.8 crore worldwide within a month of its theatrical release on August 15. Now, reports suggest that Stree 2 will soon be available on OTT, but with a twist.
'Stree 2' likely to premiere on Amazon Prime Video
According to a recent post by Streaming Updates, Stree 2 is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 27. However, the film will only be available on rent. Notably, there has been no official confirmation from either the filmmakers or the streaming platform regarding this development. The film is a joint venture between Jio Studios and Maddock Films and also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles.

Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy Stree, which was also a commercial and critical success. The sequel continues the story of Vicky (Rao) and his friends as they battle a vengeful spirit, Sarkata. The film features Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan in cameos. It's a part of Maddock Films's horror-comedy universe which also includes Bhediya and Munjya.
