'Stree 2' still going strong; earns over ₹585cr!
The horror-comedy film Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has seen a remarkable 100% growth in its box office collection on its seventh Saturday. Despite being available for rent on Amazon Prime Video and facing competition from Devara, the movie continues to attract audiences to theaters. Stree 2 is now inching closer to a ₹600 crore haul.
'Stree 2' box office collection: A week-by-week breakdown
Stree 2 has been doing quite well at the box office since it hit theaters on August 15. It raked in ₹291.65 crore in its first week, followed by ₹141.4 crore in the second week, and ₹70.2 crore in the third week. In the fourth and fifth weeks, it made ₹36.1 crore and ₹24.65 crore respectively. The sixth week added ₹18.6 crore. On Saturday, it earned ₹2.1 crore, bringing its total net collection to a whopping ₹585.6 crore, reported Sacnilk.

Despite the release of Jr. NTR's Devara, which has quickly crossed the ₹200 crore mark, Stree 2 has managed to hold its fort at the box office. The film is a sequel to Stree and also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan in supporting roles. It's a part of Maddock Films's horror-comedy universe that also includes Munjya and Bhediya.
