'Stree 2' continues to dominate box office, nears ₹300cr
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy film Stree 2 has continued its winning streak at the box office. The movie, which was partially released on August 14 and then expanded on August 15, is now on the verge of crossing the ₹300 crore mark. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Stree 2 raked in ₹20 crore on its seventh day of release, bringing its total collection to ₹275.35 crore.
'Stree 2' outperforms other releases
Stree 2 was released alongside Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu's comedy film Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa. Despite the competition, it has emerged as the biggest hit among these releases. The film's day-wise box office collection has been consistently strong, with the highest single-day earnings of ₹55.9 crore recorded on its fourth day of release.

The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, Sunita Rajwar, and Abhishek Banerjee. Additionally, it features cameo appearances by Kumar and Varun Dhawan, who reprises his role as the eponymous character from Kaushik's movie Bhediya. Together, Bhediya, Sharvari-Abhay Verma's Munjya, Stree, and Stree 2 make up Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe. Stree 3 is now on the cards.
