'Stree 2' refuses to slow down; nears ₹600 crore mark!
The much-acclaimed Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has broken major box office records for 2024. The film is now on the brink of entering the ₹600 crore club. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Stree 2 raked in ₹4.65 crore on its 37th day, bringing the total collection to ₹568.67 crore. It's directed by Amar Kaushik.
'Stree 2' box office collection: A day-wise breakdown
The horror-comedy opened with a collection of ₹8.5 crore (prepaid previews) and went on to collect ₹51.8 crore and ₹31.4 crore on Days 1 and 2, respectively. Its collections peaked at ₹55.9 crore on Day 4 before gradually declining over the weeks. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, with Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar in cameos.

Stree 2, a sequel to Stree (2018) continues the story of Vicky (Rao) and his friends and the enigmatic character of Kapoor. As a mysterious supernatural entity, Sarkata (the headless) abducts women from their town, the gang teams up to stop him and rescue the women. The film is a part of Maddock's horror-comedy universe that also includes Munjya and Bhediya.
