'Stree 2' is unstoppable, collects ₹480cr in 18 days
Amar Kaushik's Stree 2 has been performing exceptionally well at the box office since its release. The horror-comedy, starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, has raked in a whopping ₹480.05 crore in just 18 days. The film's impressive run is showing no signs of slowing down as it enters its third week in theaters.
'Stree 2' witnessed a surge in audience numbers
On its third Sunday, Stree 2 witnessed a surge in audience numbers, bringing in ₹22 crore. This takes the film's total box office collection to an impressive ₹480.05 crore. The film opened with a collection of ₹8.5 crore and has since seen a steady increase in earnings, with the highest single-day collection being ₹55.9 crore on its fourth day.
'Emergency' postponement will further enhance its collection
While the Maddock Films production premiered on August 15 in a three-way clash alongside Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein, its box office journey has not followed a clash-like journey. Stree 2 has dominated the market pretty much on its own, leaving the other Hindi releases behind. It was expected to face some resistance from Kangana Ranaut's Emergency releasing this Friday but now its run will go on unabated given the political drama is most likely postponed.
