Day 12 box office collection of 'Star' witnesses drop
Star, the latest film directed by Elan and featuring Kavin in the lead role, saw a decline in box office collection on its 12th day. The film, which was released on May 10, initially garnered praise for its captivating storyline, stellar performances, and the music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. However, according to the box office tracking website Sacnilk, Star managed to earn only ₹0.32 crore in India on Day 12, with a theater occupancy of just 14%.
Kavin's role in 'Star' received applause
Despite the recent dip in box office collections, Kavin has managed to impress his fans with his performance in Star. This film marks the actor's first time working with Elan, who is recognized for his work on Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. Despite the drop in earnings, Star has accumulated a total of ₹17.63 crore in India. Kavin had previously been lauded for his performance in his 2023 film Dada.
Elan dedicated 'Star' to his father, received positive response
Elan's tweet regarding the release of the film created a significant stir on social media. He dedicated Star to his father, Stills Pandian, and asked fans not to disclose the three surprises from the movie. His tweet stated: "Star from tomorrow.
