It's a grim time for the world and the movies. With all productions and movie releases around the world in limbo due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, cinephiles do not have much to cheer about. Only something big could uplift fans at such a time, and the team of SS Rajamouli's much-awaited RRR movie did exactly that. The film's motion poster is now out.
'RRR' stars NTR Jr., Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn
RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram or Rise Roar Revolt) is an ambitious multi-lingual film by the acclaimed filmmaker Rajamouli, who is best known for the blockbuster Baahubali movie series. The movie stars superstars from the South, NT Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan in the lead roles. Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt also play pivotal roles in the movie.
The motion poster was released on occasion of Gudi Padwa
The much-awaited motion poster of the period action film was released today, on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa or Ugadi (the Telugu New Year). It was revealed that Ram Charan's character represents fire, while Jr. NTR's character represents water, and their union marks the beginning of a revolution. The clip is backed by spellbinding music by National Award-winning composer MM Keeravani

Earlier, on Tuesday, Rajamouli tweeted that they were launching the "long overdue" title logo and motion poster of RRR, as the team wanted to uplift the fans' spirits. And, sure fans are happy! RRR is set in the early 20th century. It is a fictional story inspired by freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against Britishers and Nizam of Hyderabad.
'RRR' hits theaters in January next year
Produced by DVV Entertainments, RRR is reportedly made out on a massive budget of Rs. 400 crore. While Jr. NTR plays the character drawn from Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan will be seen portraying the character inspired from Alluri Sitarama Raju. Ajay Devgn will have an extended cameo appearance in the movie. The film also stars Olivia Morris. RRR hits theaters on January 8, 2021.
