Will Shah Rukh Khan star in 'Satte Pe Satta' remake?
Bollywood's 'Baadshah' Shah Rukh Khan never fails to amaze us. From his classic wide-hand romantic pose to the way he speaks, he just wins hearts. And now, we won't have to wait long for his next project, it seems. As per media reports, the superstar is in talks with his choreographer-filmmaker friend, Farah Khan for the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's classic Satte Pe Satta.
SRK and Big B's movies have a connection
If the plan sees the light of the day, this won't be the first time that SRK will be starring in a remake of Big B's movie. In 2006, SRK played the titular role in Don, which was a remake of Big B's 1978 classic. Notably, SRK was last seen in Zero alongside Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, but the movie failed to impress viewers.
Reportedly, Katrina Kaif could be cast opposite SRK
As per reports, Farah has already bounced off the script with SRK. Buzz also suggests that she is considering Katrina Kaif as the leading lady in Satte Pe Satta. "She has also spoken about the film to Katrina Kaif. Since she is busy with Bharat promotions, she will chat about it in detail later," a source in the know revealed.
Farah and Shah Rukh share a "filmy" bond
Farah and SRK have been best of friends. They met on the sets of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa when Farah was a struggling choreographer and SRK was yet to reach the pinnacle of his career. They collaborated for movies like Om Shanti Om, Main Hoon Naa, and Happy New Year. Although their movies together lack panache, but their over-the-top-comedy genre has been appreciated in the past.
Their friendship hit rock bottom but they bounced back
Everyone loved SRK and Farah's bond, but they hit a rough patch after the latter chose Akshay Kumar for Tees Maar Khan. Things turned ugly but the friends couldn't stay away from each other for long. In a 2014 interview, Farah said, "We realized how others were having a gala time at our expense. It took us around three minutes to sort things out."
