I am a dream come true, says Shah Rukh Khan
From growing up in a humble neighborhood of Delhi to becoming the most loved actor in the country, Shah Rukh Khan has had a phenomenal journey. However, the 53-year-old superstar remains connected to his roots. Recently, when Khan spoke at the closing ceremony of Delhi's iconic cinema complex, PVR Anupam, he got all nostalgic and shared numerous tales from his days in the city.

Commenting on his extraordinary success story, Khan said, "I don't want to show off but I'm genuinely a dream come true." "I'm a lower middle class boy without his parents bound to the city of glamor and become a movie star. The world has showered me with their love. This happens in only dreams but I never thought of it (sic)," he said.
"I found myself ugly," Khan shared an old anecdote
When inquired about the first time he saw himself on the silver screen, Khan shared that it was in 1992 when he saw his film Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman at Mumbai's legendary RK Studios. "I found myself so ugly. I had such bad hair. I was doing such bad acting. I went to the airport, thinking I can't work in films," Khan revealed.

I visit them in their graveyard late at night." "As much as I can leave Delhi, Delhi can't leave me because my parents are here," he summed.
