'Aamir shouldn't have done it': SRK trolls 'Laal Singh Chaddha'
Shah Rukh Khan, known for his quick wit and humor, recently co-hosted the 24th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Abu Dhabi with Vicky Kaushal. During their stage time, Kaushal playfully inquired if some of the biggest recent films were initially offered to Khan. In response, the superstar quipped, "Of course, all major projects come to me first," before humorously explaining why he rejected them.
'Even Aamir shouldn't have done that movie': SRK
The conversation turned to the film Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan. Without missing a beat, SRK quipped, "Even Aamir shouldn't have done that movie," sending Kaushal and the audience into fits of laughter. He quickly added, "I love you, Aamir!" to ensure no feelings were hurt. Despite being one of 2022's most anticipated films, Laal Singh Chaddha struggled at the box office. However, it found more appreciation on Netflix post-release.
SRK's admission about 'Pushpa: The Rise'
Kaushal further probed about Pushpa: The Rise, asking if that film had also slipped through Khan's fingers. To this, SRK responded with a faux dramatic sigh, admitting, "You've hit a nerve! I really wanted to do Pushpa, but I couldn't match Allu Arjun's swag." This confession drew thunderous applause from the audience. Pushpa: The Rise was a massive success and earned Arjun a National Award for Best Actor. On the work front, Khan is currently preparing for Sujoy Ghosh's King.
