Shah Rukh, Salman's family listed directors of fictional UK firm
How far can fandom take you and where does one draw the line? The answer is getting increasingly wicked lately. In one instance, a rather twisted fan formed a fraudulent company in the UK and listed his favorite Bollywood stars and their family members as its directors. The odd lot consisted of Shah Rukh Khan and family members of Salman Khan.
Firm was formed in 2016; had 13 directors including SRK
According to an Indian Express report, the bogus company, titled Bros Brother International Ltd. had 13 listed directors. These included, hold your breath - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan's father Salim Khan, his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and his NGO Being Human. As per records, the firm, set up on December 28, 2016, was involved in "activities of extraterritorial organizations and bodies."
The addresses of SRK, Salim Khan were also mentioned
Furthermore, the addresses of SRK's Mannat bungalow in Bandra and Salim Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments were also mentioned in company's documents. On the other hand, the registered address of the company was of a mailbox in Knightsbridge, London. However, 'unfortunately', the company couldn't go for long and was dissolved earlier this year in February.
Anjali Sharma from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' also a director?
But the strangest part about this company is the name of another director called Anjali Sharma (rings a bell?) Now, given the reputation this fan has earned, we think it is the Anjali from the 1998 Karan Johar film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, played by Kajol. Interestingly, the film starred Shah Rukh, Rani Mukerji and Salman Khan in lead roles.
"It is someone's deranged idea of a joke"
Paul Myers, lead support of BBC Investigative Initiative, who discovered Bros Brothers International during his research on companies in the UK, termed it a bad joke. "It is someone's deranged idea of a joke- registering all Indian actors as directors of this almost fictional company."
SRK on break; Salman to star in 'Dabangg 3'
On the work front, SRK was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's Zero, which turned out to be a debacle. He hasn't signed any film since then. On the other hand, Salman will soon be seen in Dabangg 3, directed by Prabhu Deva. The film will release on December 20, 2019. Meanwhile, Salman-hosted reality TV-show Bigg Boss 13 premiered yesterday on Colors TV.
