#MeToo: SRK's friend Karim Morani accused of rape and blackmailing
Ever since Tanushree Dutta has ignited the #MeToo movement, a lot of names have cropped up in the alleged harassment cases. After Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan etc, the recent one to join the gang is Shah Rukh Khan's producer friend Karim Morani. Morani has been accused of repeatedly raping, blackmailing and threatening a woman in 2015. Here's more.
"Morani forced me to drink, and raped me later"
During her recent interview, the victim recalled how Morani forced her to drink alcohol and then raped her. "Physically and mentally, I was in a state of shock. I saw there were marks on my body when I woke up," the victim asserted. She also said that when confronted, Karim laughed off the matter. "Can't forget that laughter. I felt helpless," the victim recalled.
It was the beginning of the torture
The lady also revealed that rape was just the beginning of Morani's exploitation. He later threatened to get her killed by the underworld and also blackmailed her on the pretext of circulating her nude pictures. The victim also alleged that Morani kept on harassing her several times. "I was scared he'd circulate my nude pictures to family," she added.
He harassed me during Dilwale's shooting: Victim
Recalling one of the harassment incidents, the victim said that Morani called her to Hyderabad Ramoji Film City during the shooting of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dilwale' in 2015. He sneaked her into his room and told her, "The opposite side was Shah Rukh (Khan) and the other side was Varun Dhawan and there was Rohit Shetty on the other side."
The big question: How can SRK work with Morani?
The victim also wondered that how can Shah Rukh Khan work with a molester like Morani. "I don't want to drag SRK into this but how can such an icon work with this 2G accused and support a man like this," she added. Notably, SRK has collaborated with Morani for 'Chennai Express', 'Ra.One' etc. One wonders what SRK has to say on this.
