Father's Day: SRK launches NGO website named after his father
What's the story
It's Father's day!
And what would be a better day to show a loving gesture to one's dad?
For instance, India's beloved superstar Shah Rukh Khan had a special gift for his late father.
The 53-year-old actor took to social media to announce the launch of the website of his NGO Meer Foundation, named after his father, Meer Mohammed Khan.
Here's more on this.

A foundation I named after my father - @MeerFoundation - aims to create a network of support for women. No better day than #FathersDay for me to introduce our website to the world.https://t.co/BB0Eipnwum

Meer Foundation was started back in 2013
SRK's Meer Foundation was started back in 2013.
According to the website, the organization "works on multiple fronts with different stakeholders to build a world that empowers women and brings society together."
In the past, the foundation has contributed to sponsoring surgeries for acid-attack victims, and donated wheelchairs to Para-athletes.
It also donated a sum of Rs. 21 lakh for the Kerala Flood Relief.

Work
Separately, SRK will soon appear on David Letterman's show
Work-wise, Shah Rukh was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's Zero, also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Unfortunately, the film turned out to be a complete debacle.
Moving on, the superstar is set to appear on the American talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. And we're already excited!
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
