Rajkummar Rao's 'Srikanth' trailer out: A glimpse into dreamer's journey
Rajkummar Rao is all set to hit out of the park with his next, Srikanth. The much-awaited trailer for the biographical drama was released on Tuesday, providing a glimpse into the remarkable life of Srikanth Bolla—a visually impaired industrialist. In a remarkable transition, Rao depicts the journey of Bolla in this inspiring tale of dreams. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, the film is slated for a May 10 release.

The film is a joint venture between T-Series Films & Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP, with the team comprising Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar & Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani. Kumar aside, the film boasts a stellar cast featuring Jyotika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar. Notably, the film's release date was moved up a week from its original May 17 schedule. Now, its premiere aligns with the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya.
Trailer: A journey from Hyderabad to the US
In a trailer spanning over three minutes, Rao takes us on a journey of a visually impaired boy born in 1992 near Hyderabad. His struggles, from battling against the education system for being unable to choose the science stream to realizing his dream of becoming the first international blind student to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US, are vividly portrayed in the clip.

When co-star Alaya praised Rao's performance
In the trailer, we also catch glimpses of Alaya, seamlessly joining Bolla on his journey while at MIT. Previously, in an interview with News18, the actor expressed her admiration for Rao. She shared her experience working on the film and praised Rao's performance. "Whatever I've shot for so far has been a wonderful experience. The team is lovely. Raj is just incredible," she said.

After coming back to India, Bolla established his company, Bollant Industries, in 2012 with financial backing from Ratan Tata. The firm is renowned for its production of "areca-based" goods and its commitment to hiring individuals with disabilities. Bollant Industries is renowned for employing unskilled and differently-abled individuals to produce eco-friendly products. The company produces recycled Kraft paper from municipal waste or soiled paper, packaging products from recycled paper, and disposable items made from natural leaf and recycled paper.
