Sridevi's wax-figure in Madame Tussauds Singapore to be unveiled tomorrow

More than a year after Sridevi's unfortunate demise, Madame Tussauds, Singapore is all set to pay tribute to her.
The prestigious museum will be launching an exclusive wax figure of the Bollywood icon tomorrow.
Sharing the news, Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor posted a video on Twitter, giving a glimpse of the making of the wax figure.
"Sridevi lives forever," he wrote in the caption.

Boney, Janhvi and Khushi to attend Sridevi's wax figure launch
The grand event will be attended by him and his daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
Boney and Khushi left for Singapore yesterday, while the Dhadak actress will be joining her family there today.
In fact, Janhvi was spotted at the Mumbai airport in the morning, wearing a plain grey T-shirt and jeans, as she hurriedly made her way inside the airport.

Statue to be a replica of Sridevi's 'Hawa Hawai' look
To note, Madame Tussauds had announced an exclusive addition of Sridevi's wax figure in their collection last month.
The statue will be a replica of her look from the iconic song Hawa Hawai.
Reportedly, as many as 20 skilled artists worked closely with Sridevi's family for around five months to replicate her pose, expressions, make-up and iconic outfit from the song for the statue.

"Sridevi's crown, cuffs, earrings and dress brooch were 3D-printed"
Sharing details about the statue, Lizzie Parkinson, Costumier from Merlin Magic Making team in the UK stated that it was a challenging yet interesting project for them.
"Her crown, cuffs, earrings and dress brooch were 3D-printed and went through numerous tests to achieve the level of detail needed. It was a joy to see everyone's work come together," she had stated earlier.

Sridevi's statue will be placed at a 'Mr. India' set
According to media reports, Sridevi's wax statue will be placed at a Mr. India set in the Ultimate Film Star Experience (UFSE) zone. The set will, reportedly, have a special memorial wall where Sridevi's fans from across the world can leave messages for her.

Touched that Madame Tussauds is honoring Sridevi, Boney had said
Meanwhile, Boney had also expressed his gratitude towards Madame Tussauds Singapore for honoring Sridevi posthumously.
"I am touched that Madame Tussauds is honoring Sridevi and her work by having her figure immortalized. I (along) with my family will be (a) part of the occasion at the unveiling in Madame Tussauds Singapore at Ultimate Film Star Experience," the renowned producer had tweeted back then.

Sridevi died of accidental drowning in Dubai last February
To recall, Sridevi breathed her last on February 24, 2018, in a Dubai hotel. She was there to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. While there were speculations about her death, it was later reported that she died due to accidental drowning in the bathtub.
