Boney Kapoor and family immerse Sridevi's ashes in Rameswaram
Bollywood legend Sridevi's bereaved family today immersed her ashes in the sea off Rameswaram. The urn carrying her ashes was first brought to Chennai in a special aircraft on Friday and was then taken to the holy island town of Rameswaram. Sridevi was found dead in her hotel room bathtub on 24 February.

Sridevi was cremated with full state honors
After her sudden death on 24 February, Sridevi was cremated with full state honors at the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium in Mumbai on Wednesday. The last rites were performed by Boney. On her final journey, the actress was dressed in her favorite red-and-golden Kanjeevaram saree, draped in a tricolor, and placed in a glass casket.
