Sidharth Malhotra, Sreeleela to share screen in 'Mitti': Report
Sidharth Malhotra and Sreeleela will reportedly star together in the upcoming film Mitti. The movie, directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, is a collaboration between Malhotra and producer Murad Khetani. According to reports, filming is set to begin in October. Earlier, the South sensation was rumored to be a part of Varun Dhawan's comic caper directed by David Dhawan but it seems she'll share screen space with Dhawan's Student of the Year co-star instead.

A Pinkvilla report described Sreeleela's role in Mitti as a "strong author-backed" character. The actor was reportedly seeking such a role and agreed to the project immediately after reading the script. She is also thrilled to be working with Malhotra in her debut Hindi film.
'Mitti' to explore intense side of Malhotra
The report further stated that pre-production for Mitti is in full swing and the makers are planning to start filming in winter. Described as a "rooted action-family drama," the film will showcase Malhotra's intense side. The actor is also looking forward to working on this Singh Janjua directorial.

In an exclusive interview with Zoom, director Singh Janjua confirmed earlier that Mitti is an action drama set in Uttarakhand. He described it as a story about guilt and living with the burden of guilt. The film also explores themes of family, relationships, and the struggle to protect one's home and land.
Malhotra, Sreeleela's upcoming projects
Malhotra has been training with Singh Janjua for the past few months in preparation for Mitti. He was last seen in the action-thriller series Indian Police Force and the film Yodha, which did not perform well at the box office. Sreeleela has two Hindi films lined up for release in 2025: Diler with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Mitti. She is also part of several Telugu films scheduled for release over the next year.
