'Squid Game 2' teaser screams the game isn't over yet!
The much-anticipated teaser trailer of Netflix's hit South Korean show Squid Game Season 2 has been released, featuring Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) returning to the deadly games. The first season saw Seong emerging as the winner, but he chose not to board a plane to reunite with his daughter. Instead, he decided to confront the games and their overseer, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). Will he succeed in putting an end to this game?
Seong seeks revenge in Season 2
The new clip, which was released as part of Netflix's Geeked Week on Friday, shows Seong waking up to find the Front Man at his door. He is later seen back in the game, wearing the green and white player uniform and once again identified as player 456. The teaser trailer also reveals the Front Man running the games without any involvement from their creator, Oh Il-nam (O Yeong-su).
Trailer's dreamlike quality raises questions
The trailer's dreamlike quality raises questions about whether the Front Man is really at Seong's door or if these are just dreams resulting from his trauma in Season 1. The clip, which is only 46 seconds long, also hints at new competitions for the players, one of which involves a pair of circular rainbows. Their bright colors contrast sharply with the bloodshed that is expected to follow.
If you're a fan, you won't miss this teaser trailer!
