Sik-K identified as unnamed rapper who surrendered regarding drug charges
In January, Tenasia, a South Korean media outlet, reported a rapper's surrender to the police for illegal drug use. On Monday (April 29), the portal has confirmed the rapper as Sik-K. The artist's identity was previously undisclosed. Methamphetamines were detected in Sik-K's system during the investigation, substantiating the allegations. This news adds to the ongoing conversation about drug use in the South Korean entertainment industry.
Sik-K's speech was incoherent on the day of his surrender
On the day the rapper surrendered, witnesses reported that he appeared disoriented and was speaking incoherently. Sik-K arrived at the location and asked if it was a police station—prompting officers to transfer him to a larger facility for his safety. The rapper's lawyer clarified that Sik-K had recently been discharged from the hospital and was not under the influence of any substances. His confused speech was attributed to sleep deprivation. He voluntarily turned himself in for possessing and using marijuana.
Sik-K recently released a new mini-album
Despite facing legal issues, Sik-K remains active in his music career. He recently released a new mini-album titled 3=1 on February 21. Additionally, he is currently scheduled to perform at the HIPHOPPLAYA FESTIVAL on May 4, although this may be subject to change due to his ongoing drug case. The rapper is known for collaborating with high-profile K-pop artists such as B.I., pH-1, Epik High, and Jay Park.

In addition to his music career, Sik-K has ventured into the business world by establishing his label, KC The Company. He also recently contributed to the single featured on GOT7's Yugyeom's debut album, further showcasing his active involvement in various aspects of the music industry. To note, his first notable exposure came when he participated in Show Me the Money 4 in 2015.
