The opulent pre-wedding reception of Soundarya and Vishagan at Chennai's Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam marked the beginning of their wedding festivities. Bride-to-be Soundarya looked ravishing in her teal blue and orange silk sari while Vishagan complemented her with a traditional white shirt and veshti/dhoti. According to media reports, the pre-wedding bash was an intimate affair and was attended by the couple's close friends and family.

Wedding to be a four-day celebration for the couple
Interestingly, it is going to be a four-day wedding celebration for Soundarya and Vishagan. The pre-wedding reception will be followed by the haldi, mehendi and sangeet ceremonies in a plush hotel in Chennai's MRC Nagar on February 9 and 10 respectively followed by the wedding on February 11. Rajinikanth's wife Latha also wrote to Tamil Nadu police department requesting protection during the ceremonies.
It's an arranged marriage for Soundarya and Vishagan
Separately, there were some reports doing the rounds that suggested that the couple has been dating each other for a few months. However, a source close to the couple rubbished the reports saying, "Soundarya and Vishagan haven't known each other before and it was the groom's aunt who initiated the alliance". Notably, this is the second marriage for both Soundarya and Vishagan.
