Though 2018 has rolled into a new year, the wedding fever continues. The recent one to join the bandwagon is megastar Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya. Soundarya and businessman-cum-actor Vishagan Vanangamudi have tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Chennai today. Here are the inside pictures.

As per recent updates, bride Soundarya and groom Vishagan have taken the nuptials vows as per South Indian tradition. In fact, pictures of their wedding ceremony have gone viral on social media. Soundarya, dripping with the bridal glow, look mesmerizing in her magenta saree with heavy golden work designed by ace-designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Reportedly, Soundarya and Vishagan's pre-wedding ceremonies were attended by the couple's family and close friends. But their wedding was a starry affair with celebrities from showbiz and politics marking their presence. Interestingly, Kamal Haasan, Rajini's rival, also attended the wedding. Notably, Rajinikanth invited him personally to the occasion and their 'happy picture' also went viral.

Soundarya-Vishagan to host a reception in the evening
According to media reports, after the traditional wedding ceremonies, Soundarya and Vishagan will be hosting an extravagant reception in the evening. Just like the other ceremonies, the cocktail party will also be a private affair with close friends and family in attendance.
Soundarya and Vishagan wedding celebrations lasted four days
Soundarya and Vishagan's wedding festivities was a four-day celebration, which kick-started on February 8 with a small pooja at Rajinikanth's residence. It was followed by a grand pre-wedding reception for the couple in the evening. The wedding ceremonies also included sangeet, haldi and mehendi rituals on February 9 and 10 respectively. Reportedly, Soundarya-Vishagan also exchanged the rings on Sunday evening in a private ceremony.
It's an arranged marriage for Soundarya and Vishagan
Separately, there were some reports doing the rounds that suggested that the couple has been dating each other for a few months. However, a source close to the couple rubbished the reports saying, "Soundarya and Vishagan haven't known each other before and it was the groom's aunt who initiated the alliance". Notably, this is the second marriage for both Soundarya and Vishagan.
