Fitness freak Sonu Sood honored with Doctorate Degree of Taekwondo
Known for leading a healthy lifestyle over the years, Sonu Sood has been honored with the Doctorate Degree of Taekwondo in Mumbai for outstanding contribution towards the sport. He was honored in the presence of Prabhat Sharma, Secretary-General of Taekwondo Federation of India, at the opening ceremony of 107 International Kyorugi Referee Seminar/121st International Kyorugi Referee Refresher Course and 40th International Poomse Referee Seminar.
Sonu thanks event organizers for creating the Taekwondo Federation
"It feels good to see everybody so fit out here, all thanks to the event organizers who have managed to get the Taekwondo experts from all over the country on the same platform and create the Taekwondo Federation," Sonu said in a statement.
Sonu hopes people take up Taekwondo as a fitness initiative
Sonu said he was happy to know that people across all age groups are interested in Taekwondo sport and they want to create awareness regarding the same. "Felicitating these experts would certainly inspire them and others to take up the sport as a fitness initiative as well," he said. The 45-year-old actor added he hopes such initiatives would help make a healthy India.
Sonu to be seen next in Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba'
On the work front, Sonu will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba', alongside Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. 'Simmba' will mark the debut of Sara, who is the daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan and granddaughter of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore.
