Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding confirmed for May 8
The guessing game regarding Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding has finally come to an end. The families of the much-in-love couple have released a joint statement confirming that Sonam and Anand will tie the knot on May 8. Without divulging many details, the Kapoors and the Ahujas revealed that the wedding will be an intimate affair and will take place in Mumbai.

"The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request for privacy," the statement read.

Wondering how Sonam fell for a man who does not belong to the film fraternity? Well, Anand may not have any connection with Bollywood but he is as steeped in fashion as the actress is. Thus, it's not hard to guess that fashion (actually) played the cupid in their love story. Anand, a South Delhi man, runs his own indie label called 'Bhane'.
It will be a big fat Indian wedding
As per reports, it will a traditional Indian wedding and will include Mehendi and Sangeet functions as well. While Sangeet is said to be held at Sonam's best friend Samyukta Nair's five-star hotel - The Leela at Sahar, Mehendi will take place at the actress's Rs. 35 crore duplex apartment. The venue for the D-day is being speculated to be the Bandra heritage mansion.
