On way to Mumbai, Sonali Bendre says fight isn't over
Actress Sonali Bendre, who is recuperating in New York after being diagnosed with 'high grade' cancer, is on her way to Mumbai. She took to Instagram to update her friends and well-wishers about her 'happy interval'. After she learned about her health condition, she flew to the States for treatment and has been sharing pictures of her journey on social media. Here's more.
New York has taught Bendre many lessons
Bendre said her time in New York taught her that everyone was fighting their own battles. "Each trying to write their own chapter in different ways. Each struggling to do it but never giving up. Each taking it #OneDayAtATime," she wrote. She went on to write home has her heart, she can't express the feeling and is excited to see friends and family.
This is the new normal, says Bendre
"It's time to learn that there is a new normal out there and I can't wait to embrace it and #SwitchOnTheSunshine. #NowPlaying #AdventureOfALifeTime," she added.
With a smile on lips, Bendre starts the journey
In pictures, Bendre's smiling face is unmissable
Bendre's social media posts have been dripping positivity, and it shows she is not ready to let the deadly disease win. She found out time to attend Priyanka Chopra's bachelorette party in New York. About it, she said it was somewhat strange to wear red again. She had also shared an image of her simple Diwali celebration with husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer.
She is battling the pain like a fighter
Once, Bendre had also written about the pain. She had said she felt excruciating pain in even lifting a finger, sometimes. "The bad days have been many where even just laughing hurts," she wrote. The physical pain was followed by emotional pain, she had said. But she managed to overcome all hurdles due to self-care. We can all learn a lot from her.
