22-year-old influencer receives death threats; files police complaint

Angel Rai (22), a popular social media influencer and actor, has filed a police complaint after receiving death threats via email and Instagram.
The complaint was filed with the Bangur Nagar Police on March 22, after Rai received an email with obscene messages and a death threat from an unknown person on March 16.
The email reportedly contained threats of being burned alive, cut into pieces, and discarded.

Rai's ordeal with obscene and threatening messages
The FIR further disclosed that Rai had been getting identical obscene and threatening messages since August 2023. The messages were sent via email, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
"I have been receiving obscene messages for several days. Eventually, I got fed up and decided to file a complaint with the police," Rai told the media.
"Especially after the trailer release of my new web series Ghotala, the accused sent me death threats."

"Initially, I received messages on Instagram, and I blocked the accounts, but the accused continued to send messages from various accounts. I endured it for the last two years, but now I am fed up," Rai added.
With over 25.5 million followers on Instagram, she is famous for her music videos. The Goregaon West resident will soon be launching her web series Ghotala on her YouTube channel.
The Bangur Nagar Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
