'Singham Again' lags behind 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'; earns ₹235.15cr by Day-20
The star-studded action film Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor has earned ₹235.15cr domestically in 20 days. The film's worldwide collection has already crossed the ₹300cr mark. Although it took the lead at the box office initially after a Diwali release on November 1, it now lags behind Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' surpassed 'Singham Again' in 2nd week
Initially, it was predicted that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 might struggle with its simultaneous release with Singham Again. However, the Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan-starrer surprised everyone by outperforming Singham Again from the start of its second week. After earning ₹173cr nett in its first week, Singham Again added another ₹47.5cr in the second week. On Wednesday alone, it earned around ₹1.65cr, bringing its total collection to ₹235.15cr domestically while BB3's total stands at ₹237cr so far!
'The Sabarmati Report' emerges as new competitor
Both Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 now have a competitor in The Sabarmati Report. The film has been picking up through word-of-mouth publicity, earning around ₹1cr daily since its release. It is expected to draw more viewers after being declared tax-free in states like Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. This new development only adds another layer of intrigue to the box office race among these films.
